My brother bought a TLB from this company and this is what he experienced

need your help. I am a father of four children and the only one working at home. My first born is in tertiary institution, second born in high school and the last two are in primary. I have been struggling to keep up with school fees and last year I decided to find out what else can I do to assist me financially. I found out that communities around East London needed cheaper TLB services. There are few people who own TBLs, but the demand is higher. Last year in December I went to local TLB dealers but was told that banks finance only TLBs that are 10 years or younger which are too expensive(+/-R800000). I was then advised by one of the TLB owner to buy a second hand one and in the god condition which ranges between R400 000 & R500 000 according to him. I started saving immediately knowing that by the end of this year 2024 I will make a personal loan to buy it cash since the banks do not finance 11year olds and up. Indeed, I made two personal loans from deferent banks totaling R400 000. I added up my savings and a bit of bonus which led to my total of R460 000. I checked on the internet(auto trader) the TLBs for sale. I was interested on the one that sold by the company called “We Buy Tlbs” costing R460 000. I contacted them and went from East London to Pretoria to view it on the 15th of November 2024. When I got there, they tested it and it worked. It had minor defects like wipers ,lights etc. I then made a deposit of R415 00. They took it off the floor to start working on the defects. When I phoned then checking progress and wanting to arrange transportation, they told me that they found out that there was a problem with transmission, and I thought these people are honest and professional for letting me know. So, I was told that it will be ready the following week which is the week from 24th November 2024.On 25th November 2024 the dealer sent me a massage that the machine will be ready for collection on the 29th of November 2024, and I must pay the remaining balance of R45 00 which I did. I then approached friends to borrow R35000 transportation cost. I sent a tow truck to fetch it. The driver of the tow truck told me that when loading a pipe was leaking and had to offload it to change the pipe. The driver said it nothing serious. I got concerned and I called the dealer wanting to find out but never picked up my call. They eventually loaded and arrived in East London on the 30th of November 2024. Offloaded the machine, my operator (TLB Driver)tested it and it started to overheat in less than 2km.Gears do not work properly. Hydraulic oil is low. Had to jump start it battery is dead . Some of the defect we agreed to be fixed were not done. I called the dealer immediately but did not pick up. Sent a wats up massage, she said I must call their machinic which I did not understand why must it be me making the call and the machine must not be driven. Their Mechanic was on voicemail. Had to call a tow truck to come back and tow the machine at a cost of R2500 which I still need to pay. So, their machine is parked home. Sent them wats up massages and email on the 1st of December 2024 telling them about the frustration and asking them to take back their machine. Today I called them again wanting to arrange for an alternative machine, but they are not interested. They said I must call their mechanic to speak with my driver , it’s their procedure. I did that thinking they will help instead their mechanic said I must find my own mechanic. I must start paying for mechanical breakdown for machine that did not even work. This is causing huge frustration on me and my family because the machine is not working. My potential customers came to hire it but had to turn them away pretending that I don not have a driver. My entire extended family congratulated me, but I have not told them the problem. The dealer was aware of all the problems but were hoping it will work for few days then when I call them about the problems, they would say I broke it myself. The dealer made me to pay even transportation knowing very well that the TLB does not work. I now must pay two loans and my friends who lent me transportation funds. I as write this email I am so stressed I even lost appetite. I don’t even have a cent to fight these people in court. Please help to get my money back. All I want is for them to fetch their machine at their own const and give me back my money. You are my only hope. I spent R497 500 for something that does not work. I have attached an email sent to them and their contact number. I can also forward you all our wats up chats.
