Inconsistencies with invoicing
They assisted me with two things
- Bond Half transfer - Bond Registration
I was treated fairly when it comes to the bond registration. The person doing the half transfer 1stly said that both would be one transaction, when they pouched me from a different lawyer.
To my surprise half way through the transaction, two invoices were sent through. I accepted.
All 3rd party payments were inflated, but because already I had experienced inconsistencies with the invoice, resulting in a lot of back and forth, I then asked for proof of 3rd party payments. I then saw that they inflated all these payments.
When I asked they would be so defensive, id call the offices, then they would pretend to not be available.
The individual dealing with my account is Carin and she was not truthful. A partner took over but didn’t even have a clue when I would pose questions on what was happening on my file. When I asked, she was defensive.
I thereafter paid for things that had corresponding supporting documentations, and those with discrepancies, I asked for clarity.
She never responds to the detailed emails with queries, but is saying is should pay for something, that is clearly being paid for on the recon.
I am very dissatisfied with the way they deal with legal proceedings and transparency.

A quotation in respect of registration cost for Transfer of 50 % share in property and Bond Substitution Consent (less 20% fee discount), specifically excluding rates, taxes, levies and obtaining of aforesaid certificates, been submitted to client prior to the transaction.
Fees on final calculation submitted on registration, did not vary from initial quotation.
Figures payable with regard to rates, taxes, name change with COT, levies and certificates could have lead to client’s opinion that costs been inflated.
