WC Plumbing Pty Ltd (Goodwood)

We made use of services from WC Plumbing from Goodwood and worked with Johann van Lill, the owner. His job was to replace all plumbing in our house which included numerous new plumbing points (major renovation job). He said that we can buy all fittings and piping and he'll do the installation. We bought a large amount of fittings of which he took with him (said it was a security risk). He then pitched up occasionally with a different helper which did all the work. He never did any plumbing work personally. He disappeared after breaking his hand at home, saying he has to spend some time in hospital. After weeks of begging he finally pitched up to continue his work. At this point most of his piping was plastered into the walls and when we did a pressure test of the system water poured from the ceilings space, over brand new ceilings and cupboards. He put the blame on his inexperienced helper who "doesn't have papers". He then disappeared, saying he will be back the next day to complete his installation. He notified me that he has contracted Covid 19 and that he was gravely ill in hospital. He ended up sending a plumber friend to complete the installation who did a great job. The new plumber found that there were numerous places where the hot and cold points were mixed up (in the wall) and that some points such as the mixers were too deep in the wall to fit a handle on. We had to chop out new tiles to fix it. He also kept on promising to send me a COC but after contacting PIRB, they confirmed that he is a registered plumber. He still has my fittings, my money and has not paid the guy who fixed his problems, do not fall into the same trap.
