I've had the very unfortunate experince of buying a piece through Wazy , which was sent to Pretoria for a project i had with a tight deadline.A beautiful dresser with a marble top.
Once again reminded of why I don't buy online or deal with new set ups that have no idea about packaging or how to deal with customers. I was assured the marble top would be expertly packed , due to its age and fragile nature. It arrived loosely wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap , with a blanket around it, unsecured in a massive van. At no point was I told there is no insurance on the shipping. How can one expect it to make it all the way from George to Pretoria undamaged?!
The response to my distressed messages about the top varied from you can wait till we get another shipment (months away) Im on a strict deadline here, not an option. You got it for cheap( yes you perceive it as that, it wasn't cheap for my budget), what's your problem, sell it if you aren't happy. Not an option i had a deadline.
I then sent through 3 different options 1 to repair and 2 to replace. All of which were brushed off.I eventually settled on the repair option as it was the least expensive. Ive sent numerous messages to Wazy to come to some sort of agreement about the cost of the marble top repair, of which they are not interested. They are only interested in being rude, condescending and blaming others and carrying on with the we will try get another one in a few months time. They have absolutely no idea of how to deal with customers, or get them to return.
They are very fast to take your money, and once the item leaves them they couldn't care what happens to it, or if you are happy. I will never buy from them again, and i strongly advise anybody else thinking of doing so to stay away, it really is not worth it.
