****** at Waterstone Village

On Saturday 5th September at 15:56, my 53 year old mother and I attempted to enter the Waterstone Village en-route to PicknPay inside the mall. At the entry, we were met by a security guard who asked my mother to take off her beret that she was wearing as hats and head gear was not allowed. He then indicated that we review the standalone poster which was mounted in the entry way. I enquired as to how come the Muslim woman wearing a hijab was permitted to enter merely seconds before us and while we were having this conversation a white man in a white cap walked past and was not asked to remove his hat by the other security guard. He said that it is mall policy that EVERYONE was expected to remove their head gear with the exception of children but could not tell me why the two other persons were allowed to enter the mall. I called the after hours line and spoke to a woman who indicated that their security officers were \trained"to spot medical conditions that necessitated a head gear"
