Slow, sloppy work by an aggressive owner.

What a terrible and expensive experience with Water Dynamix and Jarred Marx. The job was done slow and sloppy and had to be redone immediately, costing us in water (we even had to hire a pump as he doesn't have one?!). The surface of the pool has completely lifted up and when we contacted him about it he was aggressive and combative and didn't honour the guarantee. What a waste of R20K!!

First of all. Your project wasn’t near R20k. My work is anything but sloppy. Rain is what delayed this project unfortunately. And took a week extra. I offer a chemical start up treatment as well as advise on when to start using your pool cleaner again (28 days after filled)… when I was approached about the shell bubbling and peeling, I requested the chemical treatment schedule that was done on a weekly basis as well as asked what chemical treatment they were using. They use Blue52 (which I advised strongly against) as it is high in copper sulphate    And other metals. Where this client claims that I suggested that they used this product?! Which I WOULD NEVER suggest this! (First dishonesty) they also did not wait for the 28 days to pass before putting their kreepy back in the pool. Where they also claim that I didn’t not inform them of this?! I am an honest person and always go the extra mile. I did extra work there that wasn’t even quoted  for. I suggested that they emptied out the pool and hired a submersible pump to do so. As I offered to do another coat on the shell if they had just bought the materials needed. I have been in this industry for 21yrs and have never been aggressive towards anyone. I am the most chilled out guy ever?! Haha. People who don’t want to spend the extra bit of bucks and try do things themselves to save money, end up biting them in the butt, cause they cut corners and didn’t allow me to treat their water correctly. Now are feeling the consequences of this. I am deeply disappointed that this was posted on Hello Peter. And I have many clients who would refer me anytime to anyone who needs their pool build or redone. I request that this please be removed immediately from this platform. I have even spoken, telephonically to one of your agents, explaining this incident and said it would be removed. Thank you.
Kind Regards

You must have us confused with another disgruntled customer as you gave us instructions in writing to use and the Kreepy Krawly 3 days later? I can't upload the invoice here but can happily supply it to anyone who asks. A copy and paste of your instructions below which instructs us to use Blue52 three days after, along with using the Kreepy on the same day.
Instructions when filling pool: • fill pool next morning after coating • once pool is full, do a deep backwash and rinse on filter. • Then have system running on filtration setting. • Treat with BLUE52 on Sunday 17/08/2019 • put Kreepy in on the same day as chemicals
Our extra costs incurred were through having to refill the pool twice as we had to drain it the first time for you to come and do the first repair, and hire a pump, all at our own expense. We followed your instructions to a tee. I’ll be happy to share the original invoice with HelloPeter or anyone who wants to query the validity of this complaint, along with the photos we submitted to you about the condition of our pool when the surface peeled off, and our messages requested that you come and honour the guarantee.

I’ve not included any of the costs of replacing our Kreepy pool skirt from the abrasion from the roughly painted substrate, nor the callout fee for the pool pump company after Kreepy had sucked up so much peeling paint. I’ve also had another pool company come to consult (incidentally, they are well aware of Water Dynamix reputation, I wish we’d known it beforehand) and they confirmed that it was a badly done job, with the incorrect surface covering. Unfortunately, in less than a year the pool looked worse than it originally looked when we called you in – previously it was just discoloured, but now it’s pitted and peeling off and actually damaging the pump and Kreepy. Your response to my post is in line with our experience – accusatory and intense. You also took photos of my pool and property and put them online without my consent – showing a freshly done pool but not showing the real story of how terrible it looked a few months later. At no stage did you show any pride in your work by having concern that our pool had peeled or even came out to see it. There has been no genuine desire to make it right, despite your guarantee (which, as it’s not honoured, is worthless). Errors happen, we understand that. It’s how you respond that defines you as an individual and a company. We received belligerent messages and accusations – even like the ones you’ve left now which are in direct contradiction to the instructions you sent us on your invoice and told us in person. Eventually, I had to request my husband to just drop the matter and accept we accept a massive loss, as I felt a genuine fear of repercussion – obviously, you knew where we lived. I’ve only felt safe enough to report this now as we have left the country. There is no need to respond further here, it’s just important that people know both sides of the story and not what you put out falsely. I’d highly recommend that you look at this as a learning experience and an opportunity to improve and focus on customer satisfaction and a job well done, instead of simply denying it, despite all the proof.

I always offer a chemical start up. Which cover my guarantee.  If a customer chooses to do it themselves, i always suggest never to use Blue52 and ALWAYS state to only use the kreepy after 28days! I also state that a customer needs to keep records of all chemical treatments done in their pool for record, in order for their guarantee to stand in place.
