Concerns Over Excessive Charges and Lack of Transparency.

I am extremely disappointed with the conduct of the managing agent for Highveldt Flats in Blouberg.

My levy account fell into arrears during a period where I had no income. I have since resumed payments and am doing my best to reduce the outstanding balance. Despite this, the managing agent continues to send repeated letters and then charge me for each one, while also adding ongoing interest to the arrears.

What is most concerning is that these charges appear excessive and unnecessary. In addition, there are unexplained amounts being added to my levy account without proper itemisation or transparency. It is impossible to verify what I am being charged for, which raises serious concerns about fairness and accountability.

This kind of practice places additional financial strain on someone who is already trying to settle their debt and appears to prioritise generating extra charges rather than resolving the situation.

I believe this conduct is ********* and does not align with the principles of transparency and reasonableness expected under South African sectional title management laws.

I urge the managing agent to review their practices, provide clear and itemised statements, and stop adding unnecessary charges that only make it harder for residents to recover financially.

I would advise others to carefully monitor their levy statements and question any unexplained charges.
