Watchpower App interface problem

The Watchpower Wi-Fi app to interface with Axpert type inverter modules is very basic, but is (normally) more convenient for monitoring and changing settings than using the keypad. Lately however, in May they updated their servers, and in the process created duplicate instances of all registered modules, but with incomplete settings (secondary CPU missing), and have been randomly switching between the duplicates, preventing any connection altogether, and storing historical data arbitrarily between each. The developers do not respond to emails, so one cannot find out if they intend correcting this problem
