WATCH REPUBLIC DISASTER SERVICE AND ATTITUDE

I went to buy ANOTHER watch at Watch Republic on 10 November 2017 after having the previous weekend with my wife at the same store. I walked in the store and there was two gents and two ladies. The one gentlemen was assisting a customer and while i concede that I walked in the store while on the phone no even bothered to give attention to me. After my call was concluded i stood there for a good 3 to 5 minutes before being looked at let alone attended to. The guy who was free and not doing anything walked towards me and because he is sold my partner and I a watch the previous week i knew he was employed there. I asked him to view a watch and he merely looked at me and pointed me at a direction of the two ladies that were at the till. He walked out the store to go sit in his black car (might be a polo). The gentleman who was assisting the customer when i walked in asked me if i was assisted and i said no and referred the ladies to assist me. He was carrying a sling/man purse. Here is the interesting part... The one lady then from the cashier asked what i was looking for and i decided not respond her prompting her to approach me. She thought her admin was far better than my attention until another lady perhaps out of pity decided to grace me with her attention. When she came to me i then pointed the watch i wanted to purchase as i was just ****ed already. Fast forward to Sunday 12 November 2017 where my partner went to buy YET ANOTHER watch and we were greeted at the same store with great **** again. This time the guy in the car recognized us and greeted and asked how was the watch that we had bought and if we enjoyed it. He was busy with a customer then and we the lady that was too busy for me graced us with her attention. We saw what we liked and went to pay. The 1st problem starts when the watch we looked at was priced higher than what we saw on the website. My partner explained that on the website it was R500 less than what she is saying. She rudely responded that it cannot be and wanting the prove she asked where we got this price. I showed her the email that my partner sent me and her response was arrogantly stating that the date on the mail was 2 days ago. That was fine and we could accept that. She rudely then added that if we went to the website we would see the prices have changed and so we went into the website and sadly the price was exactly what was there two days prior. Again, with ATTITUDE, she tries to explain and that the prices on the system and on the website are not the same and at that point i asked what is one to do because we came to the store that is written Watch Republic on the basis that an advert was for Watch Republic by Watch Republic. With utter rudeness at my wife she said we must order online on the website and so i asked what was the point of coming to the store. It gets interesting when she calls the colleague to come and explain to us the same thing she said because we seemingly did not hear her or we could not understand. The other lady who was wearing a traditional regalia who had assisted me on Friday when i bough the other watch then came to try and mitigate this already messed up situation. She tried to explain the difference between the Website and the store and I asked where is a disclaimer that explains that statement because as it is i told her that i am buying that watch but not at their price because i drove to store and I saw a price on the website which was still there. She could not explain. I asked for the number of the head office and the rude lady just could not give me that number. I asked for a number of a person they call when they cannot solve a problem ie; Manager, and the polite lady then suggested to call the manager and find out what could be done. The manager within 30 seconds of that call instructed the lady to sell the watch at the price we saw.

In short my wife and i bought 4 watches from Watch Republic in a space of a week and to be treated with such ****py, disgusting and ******* attitude is merely unacceptable. We subscribe to their website, buy from their store and even refer people to buy there and yet the service we get is purely unacceptable and ****.

Do we take our money back to the store again? I doubt... especially given that I wanted to purchase another watch that i happen to see at the store on that day.
