Bail money

A friend was caught speeding on the N3 to Johannesburg in December 2019 and was arrested and taken to Warden police station. Paid bail of R5000.00 and was released and appeared in court next Thursday. Court started at 12 cause magistrate was out of town. Long story short case is struck of the roll cause IT technician specialist witness wouldn’t attend the case. Now its been a battle getting our bail money back. I was given a form for the bank to fill and email bank only to be told I’m number 30 on the list waiting for their bail money to be deposited and I ask why the deposit cause I filled eft forms and was advised the eft facility does not work any more they doing cash deposit and I must wait will get my money eventually but cannot promise me when exactly by the Way Warden only has ABSA bank so it will be a while to deposit to any other bank so I have offered to drive and collect my monies even thou it’s 258kms away but sadly they don’t have enough money kept to pay me R5000.00 bail money. I call the office everyday with no luck and it’s been 2 weeks going for the 3rd week and it’s so frustrating cause when they collect our bail money it’s immediate but now getting our bail money back it’s a mission. Looking for presidential hot line to report the matter.
