Unreasonable Adoption Rejection

We came across a pair of poodles on their Facebook page, and immediately apply to adopt them. We were approved! We have other dogs, cats and chickens (and sheep) since we live on a farm. Living on a farm has it's unique challenges as there might be a heap of wood or ruble at any given time depending on what we are building or renovating or changing. When the poodles were brought to us during the home check they unfortunately chased the chickens. Juliana (from Woodrock) were positive that she will be able to train the dogs to get used to chickens. For nearly two weeks Juliana and another handler/trainer regularly brought the poodles to train them to get used to the chickens. Finally (after two weeks) Juliana said that she is concerned that the dogs might not learn to ignore the chickens as the chickens hide under some of the ruble, and when they fly out from under it, it triggers the dogs and that the dogs are struggling not to get triggered. She asked if we can get rid of the ruble, to which I said that there are one heap we plan on getting rid of, but that we can't guarantee that there won't be ruble again in the future. I understood that the chickens were a trigger to the poodles and agreed that they might not adapt well because of the chickens. I decided to attend Woodrocks Puppy Day and planned on adopting a puppy or two that can be taught not to chase chickens from a young age. We decided to apply to get a puppy and a Woodrock resident picanese. Woodrock personel had an immediate discussion while we were waiting and Jacqui came to talk to us privately. She said that Woodrock was concerned about our yard being full of ruble and that it is a health risk to any dogs we adopt because a dog might find a stick in the yard, chew on it and might choke... I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. For two weeks Juliana visited my home/yard nearly every day to train dogs, and she never complained that the poodles might find a stick to chew on and choke. Originally the 'ruble' was an issue because the chickens hide under it and surprise the dogs which startles them. Making it difficult for the poodles to adapt, which is completely understandable. What Woodrock is essentially saying is that anyone with a tree in their yard should be rejected to adopt a dog because what if the dog get a hold of a branch or a stick and choke on it. I am terribly disappointed. Apparently it's acceptable for dogs to live out their entire lives in a small cement cage, but reject an adoption because there might be a possibility that the dog might get hold of a stick and choke on it...
