Was this an inside job or a coincidence?

We’ve lived in our area for 15years+ and have never encountered a break-in or anything alarming. When our outside lights started giving us problems we decided to get a security company to be on standby just in case. As soon as they put their board on the wall and installed their system it was almost as if it was an invitation.

The very next day(Saturday) at 11am a walk in happened, our dog was poisoned and phones went missing downstairs. On Wednesday 10am, two men forced their way onto our property knowing that people were upstairs, they had an encounter with my father(74) downstairs, tied him up and put a blanket on his head pressing it down, he kept saying he couldn’t breathe and as the guy moved off him slightly he pushed him off and started yelling for my sister, when they heard her coming they ran off into a car that was waiting for them. WAR’s panic button did not work and when they checked why they said: “Oh no, the concrete between the floors is thick, we put the wrong system in, you need to upgrade the package” The SAPS was called and they obviously did not show up. What a coincidence, wouldn’t you say?
