We buy cars payments

I am extremely frustrated with the lack of resolution regarding my refund request. On March 25, 2025, I deposited R4000 for online bidding, and when I lost the bid, I promptly requested a refund on March 26, 2025.

I received a message confirming that my refund had been processed, yet it has now been over 10 business days, and I have not seen any sign of this refund in my account. It is unacceptable that I did not provide an account number for the refund to be processed, and I am left in limbo without my money.

Good afternoon Kagiso,

Thanks for your message. We apologise for your frustration. We have attempted to contact you telephonically but as of yet have not been able to reach you. We have checked our settlement records and can confirm that the refund was successfully processed. We have also sent a proof of refund to We Buy Cars. We therefore believe that the issue lies with your bank and humbly request that you lodge a transaction dispute with your bank in order to resolve this as a quickly as possible.

Please feel free to reach out to us should you require any additional assistance.

Kind regards

Walletdoc support

Hi Kagiso,

We completely understand your frustration and are doing everything we can to assist.
As mentioned, the refund of R4,000 was processed on 26 March 2025. We’ve emailed you again today with additional documentation from our acquiring bank, including more than just the RRN, to help your bank trace the refund.
Please note, if your bank has not correctly allocated the refund to your account, it will not show on your bank statement, even though the funds have been returned to your card. This is why it’s important that your bank escalates the matter internally, ideally to their card or disputes team.
We are happy to speak directly with your bank to assist further, but due to banking regulations, they will not engage with us unless you give them permission or request that they contact us.
Kind regards,Walletdoc Support Team
