Wakefields are not worth the one star

I leased my property through Wakefields.

First of all they allowed tenants with pets in my property while I CLEARLY stated and they advertised "NO pets". After the tenants did not pay their rent nor the municipality bill for 2 months, I received an email from them that it s not the tenants fault they did not pay as their employer did not pay them!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but I am not a charity organisation. I host them for a roof over their heads and supply them with lights and warm water for 2 months!!!!!!!!!

The tenants moved out at the beginning of August 2017. Guess what??? The deposit that was paid to Wakefields was not paid to me yet. I wander why?

They are never available on their phones and when you contact Mr. Wakefield, the BIG BOSS himself, he is VERY UNFRIENDLY. I believe they do get enough business so my small fry is not needed, maybe that the reason for the extremely bad service to be. Be aware. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

I hereby wish to remove my prior comment about Wakefields as they threaten me with legal actions if I leave it : This was there response "We have received your complaint posted on HelloPeter regarding your property, 1 ***eonwood , in Westville. For clarity, I’d like to provide the facts of the tenancy: The lease started 1 January 2017, and as you are aware, your tenant unfortunately found themselves unemployed shortly thereafter and could no longer afford to make the rental payments. You were notified of such, and on your instruction, Wakefields Property Management gave notice to the tenant to vacate, which they did on 29/07/2017. Furthermore, also on your instruction, a legal letter was sent to notify the tenant of the arrears owing, which to date stands at R10,463.23. The tenant’s deposit held (R14,035.72) on the account was used, as you have been told, to cover some of the original R24k+ that was owed to you by the tenant. The tenant has confirmed that they will be paying the balance owed, and we hope to start receiving this shortly, at which time we can make payment to you. We will keep following up until we do so. Your complaint on Hello Peter referring to having spoken to Mr Wakefield at Wakefields Property Management is incorrect as he has never had such dealings with you. It’s possible that you spoke to a Mr Myles Wakefield at Wakefields Real Estate who is their CEO and in charge of their Westville office, and which is a different company. Furthermore, the statement that we have kept a deposit owing to you is also incorrect. Indeed, we have numerous e-mail communications keeping you abreast of the situation and taking instruction from you, as well as an e-mail from you on 21st July recognising that the deposit was to be used to cover the rental. We request therefore that you remove this post immediately, failing which we will consider taking further action." For those of you that want MY opinion, contact me on ********** EXCLUDING Wakfields agents that do not know that it is againsr the law to threaten people. SO: I with draw my statement as written on Hellopeter.com
