We relocated from Durban to jhb and I dealt with Praveen Singh and we discussed the repairs that had to be done which was only to remove frame hooks n paint the walls,clean the stairs carpets and put in a drawer that was already broken when we moved into the unit. All was done. Now he will not take my calls and does not want to refund our deposit of R9000 because he says the landlord isn't happy with the condo of the house. We also had to reclean the house when we moved in but we didn't complain. Now because of the carpets not being professionally cleaned he wants to hold back our refund. As an expectant mother I went on my hands n knees and cleaned the carpets. So they want to keep our deposit of carpets? The walls were fixed and cleaned and now apparently he comes with a new story that the 2 bedroom walls are not clean. So to clean 2 walls n carpets it costs R9000??? They mentioned the landlord being aware and unhappy with this and when my husband spoke directly to the landlord,he said he was not aware of anything!! I have all communication on email where they mentioned the landlord being unhappy. We are not people who are untidy and dirty and would never go back on our words. Praveen is making excuses to keep our deposit and this isn't the first time we have heard of Wakefields giving people trouble and threats for minor reasons. If this isn't sorted I will be contacting the CEO and taking it to the ombudsman. I have already spoken to the ombudsman and since praveens secretary now insists she didn't mention the landlord I have a very strong case. She did say her calls are recorded so it's over telephone and in the emails I have. Wakefields do not rob people of their hard earned money especially during these hard times the world is going through financially. I'm in my first trimester and am absolutely stressed and angry and disappointed in Praveen. He is avoiding my calls...why? If this stress affects my health or my baby I will take Wakefields to the cleaners and sue you. I want my refund as promised. As promised we did everything on our part that praveen and I agreed upon. There was so much damp in the lounge and kitchen that was supposed to be repaired when we moved in and it never happened but we never complained. If I do not receive my deposit I will lodge a case with the ombudsman and every social media platform. Mr Praveen Singh...we are godly people and you are trying to cheat us. Relocating isn't cheap and we need our deposit desperately. Don't do wrong to people it will come back to you. I assure you, I will not let this matter go.
