VW Wonderboom does not want to accept responsibility and accountability.
Unfortunately for me I am not enjoying best treatment from VW Wonderboom since I put trust in them with my vehicle Arteon 2.0 after running away from VW Mahikeng. Initially I took in the vehicle for a minor service in Mahikeng and after a week experienced an oil leak problem to which they responded with no accountability claim and an R11,000.00 quotation to restore the leak. I then contacted Wonderboom and brought the car to them they offered a quotation of just under R6000.00 and as such they did the job. Between two and three weeks of leaving Wonderboom I experienced an water cooling problem and as such ultimately brought the car back to Wonderboom. The cost me to pay a few Rands under R20,000.00. The problem was not quite resolved and had to bring the vehicle back and this time around they claim that the water bottle was the problem which they then replaced bearing in mind that in the first coolant problem they replaced including the water pump and related miscellaneous.
I am now faced with a next service which was for 195000km and upon working on the vehicle Wonderboom discoveres that there is oil inside the water bottle to which they diagnose as an oil cooler problem. Prior to bringing the car in for service I had to replenish oil twice and as you know this is unheard off between services. Clearly the oil leak problem is not completely resolved. Now to make matters worse the two problems I have been trying to resolve with Wonderboom they combined into a huge matter that is likely to cost me more than triple what has been now quoted for the water and oil mix been a malfunction oil cooler at just over R31,000.00.
VW Wonderboom worked on the vehicle on both oil and water problems individually. Now I am experiencing a combined problem that can easily seize the entire engine. Logically this is yheor mess for which they do not want to take full responsibility and address. So I was allowed to take the vehicle after the service because I do not want to accept that this is normal wear and tear problem. I have driven VW from golf 5 into the CC and had never had an oil cooler problem.
The big issue here is that Wonderboom and all other franchises uses a ********** approach to dealing with the job cards. Every time you come to them they open a new job card even when you reporting a similar and same problem as previous and closes it after they have worked on claims of having resolved the problem. The correct approach should be that when go back to them with a related and similar problem they MUST re-open the previous job card because clearly the was no solution to the initial problem. But because they are driven by money rather than good service they do not accept accountability nor responsibility of failure to resolve the problem at first instance. They rather have the feanchisor in this case VW SA and International Germany to believe that the problems have been resolved and this does not serve the consumer like myself any better... for I noe have to spend in the space of three months on the same and related problem more than or close to R60,000.00 for their inefficiencies and misdiagnosis and poor workmanship.
Now I am sitted with a problem that I do not know whom to trust any longer with repairs that are so important that if I keep driving the vehicle for a further day or two I may blast the whole thing to even a write off.
