I bought a used secondhand Gold 7 at VW NTT Stellenbosch 3 December 2022. The salesperson told me that he will change some of the things in January when I come back home. These things include two tyres and cleaning some dents. When I came back from home, I found out that the salesperson is no longer working at VW. I spoke to the manager, and he refused but eventually agreed. In February the car started to pop up an overheating sign which I reported to them. They checked the car, and I was informed that the car was fine. In March I reported it again during my first service and they said they could not find anything regarding overheating. In May, the battery completed died because I was away for two weeks and did not drive the car. They refuse to help me because they said it is my fault. July, I went to complain again about the sign, still they said they can’t find any fault with the car. In November the brake pads finished, I had to change them by myself. In December when I told them about the sign, they the problem is a coolant cap and it need to be replaced which I bought it myself. The sign continued to pop up and later my car started to overheat. I informed them about the problem, and they said there is nothing they can do. I understand that I bought this car second hand, but there is no way that I would completely change all parts if they were in good condition. The manager is extremely arrogant and does not want to take accountability for anything. I have decided to take legal action rout.
