Stay away from VW Claremont's Mastercars Division at all costs! Terrible Service and ********* Business Practices

We attempted to buy a vehicle from this dealership. Signed an OTP and paid a holding deposit. The vehicle was not on the floor at the time as it was due in today. After many whatsapps and phone calls we eventually went to the dealership where the vehicle was standing. Upon arrival we were very rudely informed by Clinton Wheeler, one of the salesmen, that the vehicle was sold. After discussing this with the Sales Manager, Lindsay Swartz, who also had a don't care attitude about the OTP and deposit paid or the fact that we were cash buyers and did not need finance. The person who supposedly bought this vehicle needed finance. We left the dealership without the vehicle and are now waiting for our deposit to be repaid. What kind of dealership does business in this underhanded manner? I feel very sorry for our original salesperson who tried to give us wonderful service but due to a pre-planned trip was away when all of this occurred and handed us over to his Sales Manager, who frankly could not give a damn about ethical business practice. I would recommend avoiding this dealership like the plague as they are obviously prone to extremely shady business practices and their prices are way above actual market values too. Buyer beware of this dealership, you will be treated terribly!
