VW Financial Services making money of people's misfortune

Last week I received notification from VW Financial Services to say the following: "When your relief period expires, you will receive a notification giving the amount of your new instalment."

I app**** for the Covid-19 payment relief at the start of lockdown. My application was approved and an addendum was sent to me which said nothing about my instalment going up at the end of my 3 month payment holiday. I was specifically worried about this and even got some of my family members to check the addendum before I signed it.

I phoned VW Financial Services and was told by a consultant that clause 3.1.6 clearly stipulate that my instalment would be going up. I read this to the consultant only to be told at the end of the sentence that I needed to continue reading. I told the consultant that there was nothing further to this sentence and he told me "that is not the end of the sentence" and continued reading the addendum on his side - BUT what he read and what I signed did not correspond. I did not have a second part to that clause that mentioned anything about an increase. I can provide my signed addendum and can prove this. I told him that what I signed said nothing of the sort. He then told me he could not help me and transferred the call to Customer Care. They told me the same thing that they too could not help me. I then was put through to Collections and a really lovely lady listened to what I had to say and was able to confirm what the increase of my instalment would be. What I am upset about is the fact that I was fooled by VW Financial Services. If I had known my instalment would go up for the next 5 and a half years then I would not have agreed. What I am also upset about is that I did not give consent to my instalment going up. My addendum DID NOT state this and it is not what I signed. I feel like VW Financial Services IS dishonest and is trying to make money of people's misfortune. This should not have happened. Someone added a clause in after the fact and now I am just supposed to accept this?! My increase will amount to an additional R13,200 over and above what I owe. And my term has been extended at the end by 3 months as well. I still don't understand how this amount is calculated when my Car instalment with interest is R2800 per month. This was supposed to be a relief to help me but all it turned into is just more misfortune.

I think it is shocking service and people need to be warned.
