I took my car to VW Autohaus in Centurion for repairs. They misdiagnosed my car therefore i returned it. While it was in their possession, they crashed it and said nothing to me about the incident/accident. I went to the dealership to go check up on the progress, because their communication is very poor. When I arrived I found my car in a very badly damaged condition. When I asked, I was told that one of their staff member crashed with it inside. VW said this as if it was nothing. I then asked what was the way forward and they said they will have it repaired. VW then took my car to some panel beater that did a poor job repairing my car, further damaging my headlight and its connection and then tying it with a cable tier, leaving some parts hanging, leaving paint all over the mag wheels, etc. I spoke to Victor (the head of service dept) explaining the ***** job their panel beater did on my car, and he said I must return the car again to be properly fixed. I reminded him that I work on the road and therefore need my car so I would bring it when I have made other means to continue working as they refused to give me a courtesy car. While in the process of making other means, I searched for reputable panel beaters near me as their panel beater is just as ***********, and communicated to VW that I have done that research so that my car can be properly fixed, and they told me that there is nothing they can do to fix the mess that they created. VW told me that I must go and fix my car myself because according to them the work that their substandard panel beater did is up to their standard, regardless of the proof that I sent to them and them admitting it all as well damaging my car in their custody and then trying to hide it. Is this what the standard of VW South Africa has come to?
