Car Damage after 2 separate services.... Absolutely useless/non existent management
Absolutely horrific, even for South African standards, this is by far the worst service I have had in a long time.
1 service: Sent my VW Polo for a service end of last year. While my car was there I got a call that my car was involved in an accident in the parking bay. The whole left door smashed, after dealing with it there was issues with giving me a car to use while they had to fix my car. I ended up driving with a bust up door for more than a week and after that had to use the cleaning companies car (Not even a VW) for another week while they fixed my door. I am still not 100% happy with the job but after spending 4 days there I was really fed up with their stories. The left door speaker is also giving problems every now and then. All this being said I gave them a second chance being VW thought it might just be a one time thing.
2nd service. Took my car for a service last week and told them the over heating light comes on every two weeks or so. They contacted be and told me it is a leaking pipe from the water pump. going to cost me R5822.40 I told them for that price they can finish the service and I will go for a second opinion because R5822.40 for a leaking pipe sounds a bit heavy. That afternoon when I picked up my car the right indicator was a bit funny, it did not switch on the indicators straight away. I did not make anything of it until it started happening more and more to the point where I was driving on the highway and it stooped working. I got on the phone and called VW Centurion and told them about it and what happend. I was told management will get back to me by en of Friday. I also got a call from a person wanting to do a servery on my service experience. Who asked me to give management till Monday to respond to my concerns.
Today is Tuesday without any news from them. I gave them 2 days just to get back to me regarding this. Totally useless.
We have 5 VW's just in my family - and trust me not 1 one of them will ever go to VW Centurion again.
And as an FYI, the second opinion turned out to be a totally busted radiator....... nothing to do with a leaking pipe.... makes you wonder about the competency of the service staff and management at VW Centurion.
