VW Arcadia, TSI 2018 model, VW TSI 2018

I bought a TSI 2018 model brand new last year. After taking delivery on the car 3 days later the clutch failed and they had to replace it and VW covered the costs. In February this year, the car had water damage and they had to replace the entire engine which cost R102 000 luckily the insurance covered the claim. On Sunday I was driving back from Newcastle when the car failed again, it started losing power. The dealer says it’s the Throttle body that needs to be repaired and VW will cover for it.

Now my problem is this car has spent more time being fixed, more than I have driven it. I travel by myself almost all the time and I do not feel safe with this car anymore and this time it broke down in the middle of nowhere and I had to wait for approximately 3 hours before assistance came. I have been telling VW that I do not want their car to safety reason and fear that I won’t be so lucky on the road fourth time around if this car fails on me God forbid. This has been the most unpleasant experience I have had with the car since purchase and sadly the dealer has just turned a blind eye on my concerns. I have spoken to VW South Africa and was not given any remedy for this problem. This car has failed more three times in one year.
