Is this Spam-farming

Business (or individual/s with access to contacts' database) appears to make money from selling your number to spammers - immediately following a call with them, a deluge of spam calls followed! Timing and massive increase of spammers since that call appears more than coincidental. In addition, their system appears to be totally unpopulated - I received a call on someone else's behalf but they had no records of the years of correspondence, including at least one f2f visit, between that person and the business (SABC) claiming that money is owed. My experience - no due diligence on their part and possibly a spam-farm.
