VUM - Communication??? Poor Service, Double Debit orders, No apologies!

In February 2017, we asked that our debit order Banking details changed to the new banking details. This was done, then in May our old bank account was debited with R2045 and our new bank account with R2045. Then on 22/05/2017 we receive an email & letter to advise that due to the unpaid debit order this affects the insurance... blah blah.... Then i sent a reply email to the one who had the audacity to send a letter stating that the debit order was unpaid. Which in actual fact was an incorrect assumption. No apology from this person. Then there was a whole lot of detail in emails about changes to policies, changes of clients.... blah blah. We were not informed of anything... and that VUM would be moving with another client. Should we have not been informed as to changes that is happening. I then referred to the Broker. Then in June, money was deposited into our new bank account by VUM and then a double debit done for R4000 on the same account. This just messed up our bank account, with bank charges, unpaid fees. I then asked them if our vehicle was insured, until when, what is happening... I receive a menial reply from the broker on 19/06/2017 that the vehicle is insured and that he would refer back to my questions the following day as he is off to a funeral. He then asked someone else to check the account and provide feedback. There was no feedback to date. We don't know what is going on in our account, we don't know if they will debit our account again with double payments this month. I must advise that i have never received such putrid service in all the years dealing with insurance companies. Due to our current economic situation, it is shocking that insurance companies employees can still have a blazè attitude towards customers. Customers actually pay money the insurance is not free. But they way we are being treated, is as if we get insurance for free by this company. I cannot describe the immense frustration which i have towards the broker and the one that has sent the unpaid letter. It is now 9 days later and we still do not know what is happening? We are in the process of searching for other insurance company, insurance that actually give you professional service, and that keeps you updated. Insurance that you actually know what you are covered for and maybe we will find a broker that actually treats us as valued paying customers.
