Poor business ethics!!

I have just completed a small renovation to a student flat in Stellenbosch. I decided to use Vramaar.com as a "middleman" as they claim to Get. Things. Done and "screen" their contractors. This was an enormous mistake. They do not screen their contractors adequately and after the failed bathroom reno, they themselves removed their own contractor and gave me another one to finish the job and do the kitchen. I was so fed up at this stage at the poor workmanship I decided to give the kitchen cupboard manufacture to another company which turned out to be an exceptional choice. However, Vramaar.com then gave me a contractor that was to do the electrical work and plumbing work together with painting and tiling. They were instructed to liaise with the installer and manufacturer of the kitchen cupboards re the plumbing and electrical work. Needless to say, I had to get in a rescue team to come and redo the plumbing after being told I would have to remove all the cupboards (yes... after a brand new installation) and complete the electrical work. Vramaar's contractor (Gareth James) refused to come and finish the work until I had paid in full. I had paid 70% of the job up front and they demanded full payment prior to the work finished!!! I ended up paying in excess of R20 000 above the quoted price to "repair" the appalling job that they just abandoned. VRAMAAR.COM ...... SHAME ON YOU!
