Employees treated unfairly

I was having lunch with a friend while studying. Later on during the afternoon a staff meeting was held between the employees and the owners (a mother and her son). I was completely disgusted and appalled. The owners have no respect for their employees. They completely undermine them and exploit them. As much as I had a Iovely time as the food was great and we were not disturbed, I could not sit for another minute longer after what I heard. I could not believe that the employees were being spoken to like that. It was nothing to do with their service but rather their contract. It sounded like they wanted to change the terms so that the employees can work on commission.
