Blind visitor to the Voortrekker Monument

I am a blind person. My wife and I visited the Voortrekker Monument on the 1st of February 2025. Due to my disability the entrance for me was free and my wife/guide paid only half price. We also parked close to the entrance and all the staff paid special attention towards my needs. The highlight was the guided tour provided by the Voortrekker Monument personnel. Not only was the information factually presented in a professional manner but they also allowed me to touch the murals and the exhibits. An unforgettable experience.
