Big thumbs down for Voortrekker High School PMBurg

Schools went to play rugby at Voortrekker High School on Saturday 25 February 2023. WHAT A RIP-OFF. This school should be ashamed for allowing this. By the way, I'm sure security was tighter than that experienced at a Sharks match ! Cars had to pay R20 to park on their field ... ok fine, no hassle. BUT THEN...whammy... R50 - NOT PER FAMILY, BUT PER PERSON - to gain entry to watch their child's match. Some people were so inconvenienced, actually having to go and draw money because of this RIP-OFF. HANG ON, IT DOESNT STOP THERE ...you've traveled from far to spend the day..."NO! YOU MAY NOT BRING YOUR OWN FOOD IN ... no, not even energade to give to your son after his rugby match". This "wonderful hospitality" by our hosts didnt end there...over the loudspeakers you heard, "...get off the field OR GO BACK TO DURBAN!" We peered over the balcony and could see some students, but on they were on the grass, not on the field where a match was being played. SO, BIG THUMBS DOWN TO VOORTREKKER HIGH PIETERMARITZBURG. Alot of people are struggling nowadays, but still want to watch their child's matches. (schools should not take unfair advantage of the opportunity to earn mega bucks on gate fees, AND food). Voortrekker High School be more considerate.
