Terrible Service from Volvo South Africa & CMH Volvo Cape Town – Avoid!
I have owned my Volvo for five years with a full service history, expecting the premium service that comes with the brand. Unfortunately, my recent experience with CMH Volvo Cape Town and Volvo South Africa has been nothing short of a nightmare.
On 04 April 2025, I took my car in for a routine service and paid R2,500 for a "360 check", which was supposed to ensure my vehicle was in top condition. Just days after collecting the car on 07 April, it broke down in the Karoo and had to be towed back to CMH Cape Town.
Since then, my car has been in and out of their workshop multiple times for the same unresolved issue. Each time, they claim it’s fixed, only for the problem to resurface. Meanwhile, Volvo South Africa has refused to provide a courtesy car beyond the initial 6 days, leaving me stranded without reliable transport.
To add insult to injury, the R2,500 "360 check" was clearly worthless, as it failed to catch whatever caused my breakdown shortly after. Despite paying for premium service, I’ve received *********** repairs, zero accountability, and terrible customer support.
What I demand:
A properly fixed car – this shouldn’t take multiple failed attempts.
A courtesy car for the entire duration of repairs.
A full refund of the R2,500 for the useless 360 check.
