One of the worst customer service experiences ever

I dropped my car off for repairs on 28 January after a warning light had come on. I was told it would be a couple of days. After a LOT of chasing from my side, I finally picked the car up eight days later, and was told a wiring repair (R1700) had fixed the problem. However, the very next morning, the same problem occurred again. I took it straight back, and was told the car needed a new battery as this was actually the cause of the problem, not a wiring fault. I asked for the cost of the wiring \repair\" to be set off against this, which was initially refused. It took a long debate over 24 hours and a letter pointing out my rights under the CPA to get them to agree to do so, and I finally got a fixed car on 10 February. So, it took these jokers 12 days to correctly diagnose and repair a dying battery, and they initially tried to charge me for diagnostic work. Now resolved, but I want others to be aware of this poor service. I'll be getting my car repaired elsewhere in future. "
