I had a number of solar items required that were written for me by my technician to purchase, So I opted to buy at Voltex since it was nearby and recommended by google search. I met a gentleman named Bongani Nkomo. He was so professional with customers, outspoken and went out of his way to assist clients (so it seemed), but a biggest convincer and a ****! however I understood given his title as a salesperson. I presented a list of items that my technician required and one of them was a one in one out combiner box which is about R700 now that I know. He vehemently stated that he's never heard about it and convinced me to take a 2 in 2 out controller which was about 5k. I had no issue taking because it as I thought it would've been a benefit in future should I decide to expand (as an end-user). When I received this combiner box, it wasn't even in the inside a box with no instructions and had a bit of scratches which I overlooked because I wanted the system installed ASAP given power outages and I was clueless of how it comes. When I presented the items to my tech, he got so furious that such a well-known shop could mislead me to stating that they don't know the one in one box just to push sales. Issue: Upon returning the item 2 days later they didn't want to accept it, stating that it's an electrical component and I could've used it, however, after I requested them to check what I was sold and review it on their dispatch CCTV when issued. tables turned. Now I'll be refunded. To date; is the 4th day awaiting my refund, Bongani no longer pics my calls or phones me just to give an update. So, I decided to start my day at Voltex today to get an update and comprehend why he's ghosting me and money not credited back to my account. He just told me that my refund only got approved 2 days ago and he hasn't been on his phone since yesterday and my funds would be credited to my account after easters since their creditors don't work a day before Good Friday, he was mentioning this so loudly in front of his colleagues given his outspoken nature. (phone was visibly seen on his desk, but he hasn't touched for the past 24hrs 🤣) I find this so flabbergasting that this business speed points don't work and clients are coerced to making pay and clear payments for purchases of items. Even once that's done with POP on their email, finance still has to clear payment but the same doesn't apply for refunds, even for their very old clients. every buyer is subjected to pay and clear Efts. Think twice before purchasing there... what a bad experience I've had in my lifetime 🤞
