Now you see it then you don’t.

They were called out to look at a comms problem between my Victron inverter and the Hubble batteries. Long story and I was then quoted R 29000 to fit a new Lux inverter of same size. Their sales person Fred Eberson is slippery as anneel and before I knew it I had agreed to an additional 5 Kw inverter, followed by accusations that the original installation was underspecified and that the cables would need replacing and 2 more sets of cables were required. This happened while my original system was now on the floor in pieces, so what choice did I have.:ENDED UP WITH A BILL OF R 60 k. A few days after the installation was complete the system had technical issues which were quickly sorted. A few days later the system shut down completely. I was told the inverter was “probably” faulty and needed repair. I insisted on a replacement as the system was only a week old. i was present and supervised their work thru out. Fred made an appointment for him to meet me on site the next afternoon to swop out the inverter unit . However early the next morning he called saying he had tested a unit overnight ( photo included in whats up message) and was near my house ready to install.ALLOWING HIM TO WORK UNSUPERVISED WAS BIG MISTAKE, He removed the “faulty” inverter but failed to replace it, leaving all the connection wires exposed. He does not take my calls and has blocked me. In the following days, I received calls from a number of people from as far as Herm****, Stilbaai and Boksburg, warning me about him, but alas 2 late. While telling me about all the amazing projects he had done,, he mentioned that he was active in Durbanville WP and Sodwana, so beware.

As always Volocity takes any complaints very seriously. Unfortunately in this case the full story is not reported by the owner of Culinary Equipment. In this case the customer simply refused to pay for the inverter, batteries supp**** as well as a big 50kw 3 phase inverter. The client uses excuses of incorrect invoices, but does not want to sit around the table to resolve the queries, nor does he have supply details of the queries. Being an accountant by trade the excuses is typical of someone that is either refusing to pay or do not have the funds to pay. In total Volocity is owed close to R200, 000 by Mr Gudstad or his associated companies The faulty inverter was removed and on my instruction I demanded payment before it is replaced as it was clear that the client had no intention to pay. We are always open to an amicable resolution, but for that to happen there must be a willingness by the counter party to resolve the queries, which is clearly not the case here. Volocity remains committed to our valuable clients and the long list of happy customers.
