Disappointed VW customer.
On Tuesday March 1st (4 days before my wedding) I took my car in for a 60 000 km service at vw tbv and later that day was told that one of the technicians accidentally broke a part of the cars braking system and would do a temp fix. It's now more than a week later, a full investigation has been done from them including vw SA with evidence resulting in them finding no prior problems or issues noted on the cars job card. After the worst service from them as a whole we are now responsible to pay for the replacement of the entire part which broke (R10000+) no accountability for their actions accompanied with the worst customer experience from Mark Arends the service manager at table view branch. Deeply dissatisfied and dissapointed with VW, worst decision of my life buying a VW and upon resolving this matter I will never purchase another vw or recommend anyone else to do so. Mark literally did not want to communicate with us any further upon finding out that we had taken the matter further with vwsa (as per his suggestion the previous day). His exact words were 'seeing that you made a complaint against me at VWSA, you should deal with them from this point". After a week long investigation VWSA refers me back to table view branch as there's nothing they can do but confirm that there was no prior fault with the car part. Im just so shocked by this team of people. My mind is blown.
We wish to thank you for your feedback as all feedback is always appreciated.
We have investigated the matter internally and also with VW SA CIC, and unfortunately there is no evidence that VW TV was negligent in this case.
Assistance was provided by giving you a courtesy vehicle for your wedding as well as a discounted price on parts and labour, should you have decided to have the part replaced.
Once VW SA CIC is involved, we are required to work through them on a complaint as it will record all communication between the client, dealer and VWSA.
We would like to congratulate you on your wedding and wish you all the best.
Kind Regards,
Team VW Table View
