Rude and unhelpful service in Port Alfred

The only reason I give this company in Port Alfred one star is because its owner is a decent human being with respect for client service, otherwise I would not have given it even one star.

In my entire life of almost 64 years I had never encountered such a rude person as a female staff member of his. He has a lovely young black lady at the counter who is extremely helpful, but God forbid one encounters the white woman. This company is the only of its kind in town that we as new residents knew of, so we took our faulty television in to be repaired.

As we heard nothing after a month and realising that life is a bit slower here than in Gauteng, we did not contact them. When we eventually did enquire about when the tv would be fixed, this very rude woman told us that if we are not happy to wait for our television, we are welcome to take it and go elsewhere. She literally spat out the words. My partner was so upset when he left the shop that he just sat in our vehicle. From then on, every time we had to visit the shop to enquire after our tv set, he was in a state.. When the tv was fixed she wanted to know why we did not pick it up sooner, insisting she sent an sms which we never received and told us that as we left the tv at Volcanik so long, the 3 month guarantee would not be applicable as it had been standing there for a while.

I am aware of the fact that service in our country is at an all time low, but this is truly unacceptable. As I said, my husband had a chat with the owner concerning something else and he was decent and so was the young lady assisting at the till. Our tv is already showing strange red colours in the corners again, but I said that I would rather watch it until it explodes before I take it back to Volcanic. Alex Rose-Innes and Deneys Nieuwoudt

PS. I am sure that if she is made aware of this negative report, she would probably throw us out next time we dare set foot in the shop. Maybe she just did not like our faces, I do not know.
