Jo'burg Open Competition

After successfully qualifying for the second round of the Jo'burg open competition (closest to the pin) I was informed by a competition representative (Rhada) that I would need to come into the *** to compete for the chance to play the Jo'burg Open pro-am event. Rhada informed me that the competition was from 2-5pm. I informed her that I would be playing golf on Saturday afternoon as many golfers do on Sat. but I would come in before 5pm to compete. I arrived at *** at 4:30, after leaving my round of golf early, to compete only to be told that the comp had only lasted 1hr. I was not informed of this and would have changed my plans for the great opportunity. This was completely unfair to all the players coming in later (as several of us did) and complete waste of my time and effort to drive there and be turned away. While I do appreciate the amazing opportunity, I am disgusted by how we were treated. Completely unsporting behavior for a game that promotes sportsmanship. The attempt to make up for this poor behavior by offering tickets was not accepted nor acceptable. I am disgusted !!!!!
