DISGUSTING SERVICE DELIVERY & A COMPLETE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM FROM VODACOM & VUMATEL Three weeks. THREE WEEKS without a properly functioning fibre service, and the level of incompetence, lack of urgency and complete disregard for customers has been absolutely appalling. We have spent the past three weeks going back and forth between Vodacom and Vumatel, with absolutely no meaningful resolution. Vodacom is extremely quick to debit customers’ accounts every month, yet when it comes to providing the service we are paying for and offering effective customer support, there is suddenly no urgency whatsoever. I have made numerous calls every single day — at times up to 20 calls a day — repeatedly explaining the exact same situation to different agents, only to be asked for ticket numbers over and over again. What is the purpose of providing ticket numbers when nothing is actually being resolved? What is even more unacceptable is that tickets are being closed and marked as “resolved” when the issue is clearly NOT resolved. We have had representatives from both Vodacom and Vumatel repeatedly tell us that the matter is being “escalated” and that someone is attending to it — yet hours pass, days pass, and now THREE WEEKS have passed with no solution. We have had technicians come out SIX TIMES, and still the issue remains unresolved. We are now being told that Vodacom and Vumatel are waiting for someone to configure something on their end. How can a basic fibre service issue take THREE WEEKS to resolve? This is completely unacceptable. The constant back-and-forth between Vodacom and Vumatel is exhausting, and neither company seems willing to take accountability or ownership of the problem. Instead, the customer is left in the middle, repeatedly making calls, explaining the issue, providing ticket numbers and being promised escalations that seemingly lead nowhere. The attitude and level of professionalism displayed by some of the staff we have dealt with has also been disgraceful and completely unacceptable. As paying customers, we should not have to beg, chase, escalate and repeatedly explain ourselves simply to receive a service that we are already paying for. At this point, I am absolutely done being made to feel like a fool and being given the same empty promises of “escalation” and “resolution”. Vodacom and Vumatel need to take accountability, communicate properly and actually resolve the problem instead of continuously closing tickets and passing responsibility between each other. Three weeks is not a reasonable turnaround time. Six technician visits without a resolution is not acceptable service. Constantly calling customer care for hours every day is not acceptable service. We are paying for a service that we are NOT receiving, and this level of customer service is completely unacceptable. I expect this matter to be escalated to the appropriate senior management level and for an immediate, permanent resolution to be provided not another ticket number, not another “escalation”, and not another empty promise. Do better. Take accountability. Fix the problem
