****et/Bangkok experience

Booked vacation with my friends to ****et & Bangkok, left OR Tambo on the 22 September and returned on the 1 October 2024. On arrival at the Deevana Patong hotel in ****et, we were told our accommodation was cancelled as the agency did not pay. It was a scariest moment as we thought we were ****med. The hotel indicated that we pay the deposit for the night until the matter is resolved with the agency. I called Beauty (travel agent) and explained the situation, she assisted and transferred the deposit money into my account and we paid the hotel. We were checked in in the early hours of the 24th. The matter was resolved after day 2, the deposit money was returned.

Except the issue of accommodation, we really had a great time. Both hotels in ****et and Bangkok were clean and offered breakfast daily.

Our activities were pre-booked which made it easy for us to go around. The tour guides were very good and patient with us. Only 2 activities did not include transport and this was not communicated to us. We had to arrange transport ourselves to go there.

The highlights of the activities was a visit to Phi Phi Island, the Yona Beach Club, buffet Dinner on a Cruise. The is a variety of food to chose from, shops in Patong close at 2am.

Communication was a bit challenging as most people don't speak /understand English.
