Standing in my way to make changes to a policy I've been paying for 10 years

Let me start of by saying, if I had known 10 years ago, I would NEVER have taken Life Cover with Resolution Life / Viva Life. The hoops they are making me jump through to simply stop a premium increase is ridiculous. Took the policy on my mother's life 10 years ago seeing that I had a minor brother to whom I was the legal guardian. I've paid this policy diligently since 2013. When the premium reached about R1 000 per month a few years ago, I requested a stop in increase. They denied me. Said it wasn't possible. I left it at that even though I was never informed of this at the point of sale. I was finally able to access an updated schedule (many more hoops yet again) only to read that a stop in increase is in fact very possible. So... I request a stop in increase. Nope, sorry. Request must come from my mother. Ok Fine.... I'll draft the letter, she can sign and I'll send it. But get this, She has to complete a health declaration! 10 years after the fact I have to submit a HEALTH DECLARATION..... TO STOP A PREMIUM INCREASE!!!!???? I am not making ANY changes to the policy itself. So the risk profile doesn't change. What will I experience at claim stage? Will I face a situation where my claim is declined for a nonsense reason? I am in the insurance industry myself and has NEVER come across something so ludicrous. You, Resolution Life, is placing unreasonable barriers in my way in order for me to make changes to an existing policy. This contravenes TCF, outcome 6. I want answers from someone else other than a client service agent. Be sure that I am not dropping this and will take it as far as I need to in order to get answers and reassurance that you will not pocket my money without cause.
