Viva gym are unfair

Viva gym has been attempting to debit funds from my account for the past 3 months now. My membership was frozen since March because of the lockdown and when they opened I was not informed, I only realised after seeing the debit order attempt on my account.

Now I have been told that I owe just over R700 for services which were rendered, I never to their gym in August and September and somehow I am forced to pay for not using their gym. I know for a fact that if I dont pay for a particular month I will not be allowed in but somehow I still have to pay for not using the service....it absurd!!!. Now I want to go back to the gym and I have to pay an amount of just R700 for nothing really
