PLEASE BEWARE OF VIVA GYM CONTRACTS

I initially took out a Viva Gym monthly contract, which i never used for the first month. As i understand it, you would need to inform the gym if you no longer want to have the membership. I advised them that they need to stop debiting my account and cancel my monthly subscription.

I then received 3 calls from 3 different consultants informing me that i am in breach of my contract. Each time, i advised them that I have cancelled this subscription a long time. They still debit my account, they still harass me to pay them. How is this even possible? I have not used their services even when I registered for the month as i knew i could cancel at any time.

I allowed the first debit order to go off and after i speak to the consultants, i am always advised that "someone will call me back". I have not heard from anyone since and yet monies keep going off my account. I even stopped my debit order but Viva keeps changing their reference number so when the debit order returns, I get penalised R100.00 from my ban****!!!
