29" Vittoria Saguaro mountain bike tire support is shocking.

I replaced both my tires on a Scott Spark and after about 6 months the front tire, perished and cracked all the way around the circumference. Wear on rest was normal and was nowhere near the wear indicator. The cracking was not where the tire meets the road. Bike is never stored or left in the sun. Rear tire is wearing normally.

The staff at the bike shop thought that a replacement would not be an issue as this was obviously not normal wear and tear. Much to our surprise, we were told best the supplier could do is give a special price on a replacement.

The reps and boss of the local distribution in South Africa told me that the tire was worn and could not help me. After a protracted discussion, they said that a 50% discount was best they could do and I was lucky they phoned me back. The boss eventually fobbed me off with a ”we can send the tire back to Italy and they can do a report” and also this is the only one out of 3000 tires that they have put out there.

Surprising how people stand behind their products. Have used their products a lot and have never had this result.

This will definitely be the last time and another brand will now be used from here on in.
