Charged R4,650 for a Non-Existent Problem - *****sters

AVOID this company at all costs. My mother booked them for what she thought was a DStv problem. There was absolutely nothing wrong. We resolved it for her the night before. She had simply forgotten to cancel the service call. Instead of being honest and saying there was no fault, the technician proceeded to "replac"e equipment and left her with a bill of R4,650. She was charged for a fibre termination unit, picture modulator, labour and a call-out fee - all for a problem that never existed. I have since confirmed that this company is not a MultiChoice-accredited DStv installer, despite presenting themselves in a way that suggests they are. This business appears to rely on customers trusting their technical advice. Most people have no way of knowing whether the work they recommend is actually necessary, making it very easy to be charged for repairs and replacements that are not needed. Elderly people are particularly vulnerable, but this can happen to anyone. Get a second opinion before letting this company touch your DStv system. Verify their accreditation. Do not take their diagnosis at face value. Based on our experience, I would never recommend this company. They are *****sters
