no response about breakage fee

we went to stay in a house in Marlothpark during the easter weekend, when paying your booking you have to pay an extra R500 for breakage fee, which you are supposedly getting back after your stay. Two weeks after we came back I phoned them asking when and how I get this money back. They said I was suppose to get a letter asking about my stay and informing me how to go about getting the refund. Then they gave me an email address and said I must send my banking details to that address and the money will be paid into my account. After another two weeks of nothing happening I phoned again. Then they told me the the owner Martin Baird said the refund must be stopped because he has complaints. Then they said they will send me the complaint letter and then we can state our side of things and then they will decide whether the money will be refunded or not. This is now the 17th of May and we have not heard a word from visitafrica, the owner or any supposedly complaints.<br> It feels to me that they are *****ing the refund and just offer a bunch of excuses.
