**** OPTOMETRIST - Vison Works Strubensvalley

I would like to report the worst Conartists experienced in a very long time!! My Daughter is starting a new job soon & one of the requirements is to have an eye test. I referred her to Vision Works Optometrist based at Retail Crossing in Strubensvalley (on Hendrik Potgieter road); they advertised an eye test for R90.00. On face value this seemed like a great deal as cash is extremely tight. An appointment was made for 4.00pm today & the test was done. The lady was persistent that glasses were also needed to be ordered & my daughter explained that she doesn't have a Medical aid or cash to pay before the test was done. The Lady insisted that she try out glasses & a quote would be given. After having the eye test & afterwards fitting on numerous glasses she was then presented with an invoice for R90.00 & glasses as well for over R4000!! After a long discussion the lady accepted that the appointment was for eye test only... Low & behold another disclaimer was then presented after paying the R90.00; that the Eyetest results will be emailed only after an additional fee of R510.00 was paid. To date no Eye test result was issued & the R90.00 paid is NON-REFUNDABLE. Please ensure that anyone wanting to use these ************ services is fully informed of the actual fees. I feel that they are rotten ************ taking advantage of people looking to save money on an essential Service!!
