They wont pay back my deposit

When we moved in, the then agent, disappeared without fixing and painting the unit. After the owner told us the sad story about the agent's disappearance. We fixed everything on our own, including painting the unit but painted half.<br> We were later introduced to a new agent Vision Properties. They never been to the unit until we wanted to move out.<br> I sent a notice two months in advance, they complained about the unit being half painted.<br> I told then I would go and finish off the painted, suddenly, they said, the have already sent someone to fix, I went to visit the place, there was no such thing, I even spoke to the caretaker, It was a lie, however, I let it go.<br> <br> We moved out on the 30 September 2015, until today they have not refunded us our deposit fee. They don't even communicate with us.. The contract specifies that the deposit fee is refunded within 14 days.
