I urgently needed a Unabridged Birth Certificate and was unable to personally go to the Department of Home Affairs to request a copy as I am located outside of South Africa. I initially tried to use another well known company offering this service in Johannesburg but they were extremely unhelpful and could not locate the birth certificate over a 4 month period.
