Be aware of Alta Duffield

We dealt with Alta Duffield of VPP Properties in George and from word go we where treated with disregard and completely unfairly. She advertised the property falsely by saying its off grid and it was not. We only found this out after we moved it and paid the deposit and rent. After 4 months of fighting a loosing battle with her about our snags and having no electricity and running water during loadshedding we decided to give notice and move elsewhere. She then proceeded to take off more than R4000.00 from our deposit for snags....being cleaning of an oven grid She asked us more than R1000.00. We now at a month later being out of her rental house and we have received non of the invoices for the repairs after asking her numerous times. She has now blocked us and is threatening to give us a bad credit record for giving notice and moving.....she also bad mouthed us with the new tenants that never met us saying we extremely difficult tenants etc...... We would NOT RECOMMEND Atla Duffield of VVP to anyone. Please be aware She will not look after your interest. The tenant before us had the same experience with Alta and was also left with no choice but to cancel their lease with her as she gave them exactly the same bad service.
