Withheld information about contract terms

Virgin active red consultant in braamfontein branch withhold important information when signing you as a new client regarding end of contract terms, I was never told that I should call in and end my contract when the contract date ended as the agreement was that after the contract ends I'm going to pay month to month and now when I want to rejoin they say I'm in arrears because they never ended my contract as per agreement with the consultant. Upon inquiry at the branch they admit they were wrong but nothing they can do because its part of the Ts n Cs which were never sent to me either by email or post they never gave me a copy of those and now I can't rejoin the gym
