Why do you need my ID if I only want to see what you offer?

<p>Was at a shopping centre, and decided to check out what Virgin Active had to offer as the new Planet Fitness had no pool. Was greeted at the front desk and I asked if they had a pool. I was informed that they do and would I like to see the setup? I said yes, and was handed a form to fill in. On asking, they explained it was a guest form as I am not a member. No problem there, until I saw that the form asked for my ID, which I refused to fill in.</p> <p> </p> <p>A manager was called and she uttered the words that made it a deal breaker for me -" we need your ID so we can put it on the system". </p> <p> </p> <p>That's when I said "thank you for your time" and left - with a person trying to convince me that they will make a plan for me.</p> <p> </p> <p>I do not easily give out my ID number. In this day and age, it is all too easy to fall victim to ID theft and other issues.</p> <p> </p> <p>You have lost a possible client due to this.</p>
