What's good for the goose is not always good for the gander

I am member at Virgin Active where I have been a member for a few years now. My name is Owetu Matshaya ID No: ********** 429088.

I received a email a few days ago stating that my membership had been cancelled and if I wanted to renew I could at a discounted fee. I then received a phone call from VA obtaining permission from me to start the new deduction. I then found out in the call that I had missed my required number of visits 33 out of 36 minmin vists that are needed to keep my status as it was before.

I then enquired from the lady who was calling me as to why I did not receive my email reminder of the pending outstanding visits that I needed to catc h up by the end of February. She responded in saying that it was not a VA email but rather a Vitiality email and they too were not requirement to be sent. I find this so very odd as for the better part of the year I have received reminders about catch up visits and in the last month I get nothing. In addition you advertsie that Vitality is one of your partners however now its easy to forget about them when it suits you.

In addition to the above it is okay for VA to send me an sms telling me that the gym will be shutdown or that the airconditioining is not working and that I must find alternate gym to go to. I have taken liberty to go to a specific gym and gyming else where is out of the plan. However when I am 3 visits short of 36 these inconveniences are not considered as if my gym was fully functional or open I would have gone in for a visit which would have meant that I do not fall short of 3 visits.

I am not happy about the amount that I now find myself having to pay. I am not happy with the response that says Vitiality need not send me any reminder nor am I happy with missing gym sessions due to VA's schedule of maintainence or shutdown.
